FAQS
How is the MTW Calculated?
Milking Time Window is a rolling average over the last 15 days of Milking Times. There is a buffer of about 15 mins added to end of the Milking Time Window to allow for a plant wash (CIP time). The days included in the rolling average, and the length of ‘buffer’ will flex depending on the time of the season.
How often is my MTW updated?
Levno updates the MTW if the 15-day average changes by 15 minutes.
What other data does Levno provide Fonterra in relation to MTW?
Levno send Fonterra data to let them know:
-
If Milking is still in progress later than the Milking Time Window expected, creating an exception to the norm.
-
Any changes to the automatically detected Milking Time Window at the end of each milking.
How do I stop tankers from showing up during milking?
If you call Fonterra they can manually lock in your preferred MTW but this is only for 6 days . You will need to call them back in 6 days or MVMS will automatically update your MTW again.
Can you stop my data going to Fonterra?
No, Fonterra has arranged to have MVMS on all their vats. The setup means we can’t stop data on a particular site. You should talk to your Fonterra Area Manager of the Farm Source team if you have concerns about the data they receive.
